I mean in his brain its full of "ELF FIRST HELL YEAH", so the high elf helping the elfs is a done deal for him. Its only because they are kidnapping her that she is helping the other group, and no amount of the person themselves telling them to go fuck themself is gonna change his mind.

If I'm remembering correctly the mangaka was suffering from an illness and retired. So it's very well possible we will be left on a rage inducing cliff. Which would be rather sad.
