After a whole town escort to the gate, they started travelling through the forest into a desert plains?
And they met up with a girl being attacked? Where the therianthrope jumps off the cliff to run in? And the MC and elf slowly come after?

Personally already see issues in how nearly every chapter ends in the middle of something, like how this time they are talking about something that made them react strongly to his words, but mangaka is continuously skirting the subject.

Can still turn good, but that alongside how short each chapter is (almost feels like only 1, or even jut half of 1, thing has time to happen each chapter. And then mangaka still feel like it is time to add more pages of irrelevant stuff just to fluff the chapter (or so it feels) despite it being the very start) rings some warning bells.

It's like riding the edge closer to the 4/10 territory for me but I'll give it a few more chapters. If it stays like this though I'm gonna drop it hardcore lol.
