I wonder... can he "cut" your ability to have kids? That will be an absolute fear to have for the royalty and nobles. Like your bloodline and family history gone if you cross this MC and his wife.

It’d be hard to threaten nobles still without declaring war i
Imagine but I would’ve expected him to also simply “cut” one’s memories or so if he rly wanted to run away and maybe gather money on a new identity, otherwise might as well just skip the middle man and just make them literal eunuchs 8D

Oh.... we're getting closer to where I kinda stopped reading for a bit. I really should return to the novel, see if there was more translated.

But I remember what's going to happen soon enough. In case anyone is wondering.

The wifey here is getting a taste of power. A taste of power she thinks she owns fully by herself. It's going to fuel the idea that she doesn't need her hubby anymore, so she'll end up trying to use his cut power against him because she thinks she has enough usurped power to protect herself without having to rely on him anymore. Well, it fails pretty badly. After all, he has the ability to cut anything conceptual. I forget what he cut but he did effectively render her harmless before she was able to do anything to take his life. She's still alive, he's trying to make her fall in love with him again, but she's kind of under mind control. I forget the details exactly.
That’s a shame, unless the manga takes a diff route tho idk how common it is for manga Adaptations to do so bc felt like they got along well enough versus her wanting to suddenly be independent

Thanks for the chapter, is “soz” some kinda slang for the chara saying sorry or a sigh? Kinda an odd choice unless the mc is also saying it in a casual way but that’s just me nitpicking xP

The author didn't really think this through, in the previous chapter the researchers had discovered MC could cut stuff just from targetting something.
He slashed the giant golem to kill it, and it broke the core that was far away, that means that if MC decides to cut something conencted to his target or that he knows exist it will be cut, what I mean is that showing a real time hologram of yourself is like painting a target on your back if MC is your rival, the moment MC realizes you exist you are finished.
The only "right" way to do it would have been using a sub-assistant to talk with him.
Even the "stopping MC from cutting" tactic was stupid, as he only sent 5 powerful people against him, should have sent someone with the power to block him, like stun or paralyze, and I dont know if that would have been enough as it seems he evolved to the point that thinking to cut something is enough.

Yeah.

He basically decides that while she's under mind control making her inoffensive towards him, he's going to try and make her fall in love with him, while she is still under said mind control-like state. I went back to double check on chapter 1. If you go there, you can see how the emperor dude gave an order and the girl had to obey because they have the Slave class. I forget the details, but he effectively makes use of that master/slave authority. She's basically under orders that keeps her tightly in check and forces her to behave. So yeah, he goes full I can fix her. My guess is he's going to fix her by pumping more exp in her belly at night. Y'know hentai logic.
I really don't understand why he couldn't just "cut her mind" and remove the parts that made her turn to betrayal. I guess it's part of the whole Japanese obsession with "rehabilitation," even when it just plain doesn't make sense. It's not like the MC has been shown to have much scruples or some kind of sense of righteousness before. Why would he suddenly care if he has to mentally alter her a little bit to be more compliant?
That must've been pretty deep in the novel because I remember reading a fair bit farther than this and that hadn't happened yet. Maybe I just don't remember it; since like you, it's been ages since I read it.

The whole "concept attack" thing reminds me of the Instant Death manga, and that MC was able to "kill" someone's eyes, so it should be possible for either MC to "cut"/"kill" the reproductive organs without actually damaging the individual
I mean, bro could also just do a vasectomy. Literally cut, no harm to anything besides the ability to have kids. Or for women, tubal ligation.

Interesting that anyone who even remotely gets in his way is killed but he’s still willing to forgive her. He seems so emotionally detached that I have a hard time believing he was actually in love with her. I’d wonder if that was because he felt guilty for using her body but then he put her under mind control himself so that isn’t it. Maybe he finds her ability useful enough to keep her alive?

I like how she just casually uses teleport the most optimal way (ie turn the creep into a red stain on the concrete via gravitational acceleration to terminal velocity). she and MC are made for each other.

I doubt the series is that deep, but maybe he realizes that her is the only thing that stops him from pretty much erasing that world

My gut tells me that the author just didn't think that far ahead when conceptualizing this story. They probably had a scene or series of scenes they wanted to write, and once they got there, they just threw whatever they thought the story was missing at the wall and hoped it stuck,
in this case "drama."
This happens a lot with these puerile webnovels, sadly. :pout:
