The pacing in the WN (this chapter of the mange adapts chapters 95 & 96 of the WN) is the same. The early chapters are sometimes very disjointed.
On a postive note the next few chapters are very fluffy so the manga will be too.

Ashe still looks like a guy in my eyes. After the bound spirit was released, I expected there to be some sort of magical transformation, making Ashe a lot more feminine, but there was none of that. She was just relieved from the constant pain and could thus relax a bit.

She just recently released from that curse. Probably it'll took some time for her to grow her feminine feature back.
