Y'all are too used them being staples in these stories lately, but brothels are exactly the kind of thing an old timey church with any amount of influence would crack down on because they're basically the fun police. I get your point, I just really doubt it. I mean, sure, suppose the Author could write that in there-but that would look like a blip in consistency. If there's a slave trade wagon down the street, pretty sure a brothel ought to be somewhere around town. Not like the setting's roots, based off of mediaeval Europe, would disagree.
