There are a lot of overly convenient deus ex machina type things in these Other World genre stories which really call into question the aptitude of Japanese authors. Although more than that, I suppose the audience should be questioned because people eat this stuff up.

Well, I guess I'm not one to talk since I'm reading it too. Still, I wouldn't pay money for something like this. I think I've read less contrived stories on fanfiction.net many years ago. (lol)
