I wish I could get excited for games like this again. Where's my isekai truck when I need it...

Love how the comments always devolve into old fogeys (myself included) reminiscing about the old times.

Does the artist of this manga do lewd stuff (maybe under a different name?). Asking for... research purposes as he truly has an excellent taste in how he draws women.

I don't mean to be a boomer but they were talking about what was the Sega Channel for us from the 90s right? Thinking back on it Sega was always way ahead of the curb when it came to their console tech

Do you guys think Uncle would start a holy crusade if he found out what people think of most modern sonic games or would he join the hate mob and try to burn sega to the ground
hard to say depends on how he feels about sonic 06 maybe even Shadow the Hedgehog will he might not recognize that as canon

Little did ojisan know, the DX port is ass. Takafumi did good.

Competing with the Sega Channel downloadable games they mentioned, Nintendo also had a satellite broadcast based games service through a modem peripheral called Satellaview for the Super Nintendo. It used Microsoft MSN service as the backbone. Content was released episodically and included a subscription to Nintendo power magazine. There was even a Zelda game. Only recently did archivists find a way to replay them. I don't think the peripheral was even technically necessary as all consoles already had a rf tuner and I think the games could be transmitted as terrestrial vhf signal which was how people later replayed them.
I would argue another difference was Sega released their game library globally, Satellaview was a Japan-Exclusive peripheral.
