the early modern english here is still really flawed... but it's way better than what manga TLs usually produce when they do this. (the standard is brain-meltingly low)

pretty hard to follow what was going on this chapter, though. her exposition was one of the clearest parts, but i couldn't make much sense of what the two sidekicks were doing, or whether elf was "regaining control" or not, and how.

That being said, ojisan's responce was "well of death is a bad ending, then even the happiest person eventually dies so it'd be a bad ending to you."

Which imo doesn't leave us clear from gray endings

no, a lot of people say it like that.

I felt this was odd too, so I think it's probably a japanese specific thing - either the way their language works , or their idea of curtesy (or both)

Gekidan Inu Curry consist of two men. Awesome design and nice touch with witches backstories were really good, but yeah, writing and directing anime is definitely not their forte. Magireco as gacha already trampled on most of OG series rules in order to provide players with countless girls, ridiculous magic powers and not so coherent plot to fit all these into. Though it's inevitable for gacha games. But Inu Curry took it step further trying to make it "darker" and made complete mess
