Thank you for the chapter! I'm starting to like that serious office lady a bit. Of course, I don't want any romance between her and MC. Coworker dude already likes her, and she seems to at least be aware of it and encouraging it. And besides, I'd rather MC be with Kyara anyway. Still, as a character, I'm starting to like her a bit.

Because of the way times works in the other world he basically had a bunch of character development in a short span. So it’s like he had a huge change in personality overnight. If you had a coworker who was timid and lazy for years then show up one day super outgoing and hardworking it would be very strange and intriguing.
women are generally more interested in men who can cook

I actually enjoy the earth side of story compared to some other traveling world isekai where MC use earth to buy stuff and isekai people goes "waow sugar and salt" for most of the time. This time we can see the positive impact on MC life in earth from going isekaied
Unless it's a case of shitty/shallow writing ... She's probably someone that used to nerdy that learned to pretty herself up and/or had a late-bloomer-type image change and suddenly got a bunch of attention from men and started riding the wave.
In a normal work, Her insistence on "you're trying to do this just to ask me out on a date" would be from her being swooned and tossed aside a few times due to her not used to being popular... but in an Otaku work like this, she likely just wants to be popular or is playing a role and is afraid of being exposed - but is of course completely pure and untouched!
She does have that weird childish "referring to myself in 3rd person" trait that can only exist in a work like this for a character her age, so maybe she's also supposed to be the Moe Stupid Type that just made it through life by being cute and going with the flow but somehow wasn't snapped up by an assertive man? Whatever.
Guess it would be funny if she thought acting kind of stupid is what it takes to be popular.
Glasses OL is probably a supervisor or on a leadership track (from the raws she seems to be close to the company leadership, maybe she's a bit older than the MC) and as such is interested in why/how the MC suddenly changed for a number of reasons, one such more personal reason could be that she's a Starving Office Lady Huntress looking to catch and finish off her prey of choice before "The Cakening" (also known as "Hitting The Wall" in the West).
But really, he's surprisingly competent, seemingly shares a common interest, and isn't tripping over himself to please her.
Probably the type of woman that was instructed on how to "see the underlying signs / traits of a good man." and MC is accidentally becoming a target rich environment.

I think the pun is really well done,
it conveys basically the original pun.
I didn't understand at all what they were talking about when I first read it some time ago, and just skip the whole pun thing
explaining it will be quite long
It started with the middle top panel "oh right".
The he actually said "yabe", which is a men/boys way of saying "yabai" or "oh crap" which turned into the small subtext.
(obviously he said "oh crap" because he noticed Yamazaki's stare)
And in the next panel, the boss ask "yabe?" or basically "what was that?"
Then Oomae stretched the "yabe" into "yabei"
which still can be seen as "yabai", but also,
(again, I didn't know it at that time) "bei" can also mean "rice".
So "yabei" can be seen as a pun of "yabai" and "ya(?) rice". (I guess?)
And since "yabai" basically means "oh no" or "that's awful" or.... "that's not right"
and there's the pun
then Oomae complete the pun in the middle panel as "it's yabei because it's rice"
basically a pun between "it's wrong because it's rice" and "it's ya-rice because it's rice"
so
"it's not right because it's rice"

Honestly, I appreciated this chapter. After my growing frustration with the past few over lying to him and him seeming not smart enough to figure most of it out, seeing him be the competent one and flexing his new skills feels like a relief. I'm ok staying here for a little while.
