The chapter that introduced the ex-gf was written in 2019. Then there was a 4 year gap before the author continued the story. So if you feel the tone shifted a bit, very apologetic for immaturity, so did I.

Not really, that was why he only wanted to have a day-trip.
But guy got sleepy from having too much fun and both? seem to have fallen asleep in the car.

The author clearly bit off way more than they could chew with this one. Too many girls, too poorly planned worldbuilding, too much character development needed for the MC in the real world to be able to balance with actual interesting isekai stuff.

Especially with the time travel element and setting up "future" conflicts and romance moments, the author was writing this as if it was getting 300 chapters starting with chapter 5.

I don't think it's any town or city. These people are fully armored and carrying halberds, spears etc. - not weapons one would go around with in a settlement. I think they landed right in the middle of a battle.

I did like the "revisit your immature past and move on" parts of this. Still trying not to have bias against Nozomi for the crime of not being Jyuumonji. Nozomi is fine, and only has one chapter. I'll watch it cook.

Yes, we all knew they were getting isekai'd. God wanted it that way, and there was nothing he could have done to stop it.

It could be the city guard, summoned to deal with the magic car. Also looking at the crowd, it's just a couple of fully armored folks among a diverse group of fantasy people. There are elves, a wizard, some beast people, even a child.
