So many comment about another isekai x) Gonna add my stone.

@Meridis I quite agree with @boag well I won't say the wives are traitless but they become so passive so abrutly, like once they are married it's over, some sexy time, get pregnants at some point and that it. Case closed. And Rudi ... he became so passive by leaving almost every decison to Orsted and suffering the consequences I couldn't recognize who is the protagonist of this series anymore. Sure the story following the appearance of Oldeus take an original and shocking turning point but I didn't enjoy as much as the first part.

@monkey123 I salute you, man of culture.

Super enjoyable so far. Amazing artwork. The story is a nice change for isekai. Hoping for more chapters soon.

@Boag You seem to be remembering MT wrong.
The only character to really change in the story, was Rudeus. The parents split up Rudy and Sylphie, because he was turning her into a doormat, they were worried he would make her totally dependent. Growing up in "politics" gave Sylphie two different personality types, a public face and private one. Eris was always a muscleheaded perv, truly fitting of the Greyrat name, and her raping (technically) Rudeus was still in character, along with everything since her return. Roxy was always a bit of a lost kid, since she was estranged from her family, and was letting Rudy get away with shit that she shouldn't have, ever since he was a kid, dealing with him is what prepared her for actual teaching as a career. Go back to the reunion with Roxy's parents, and tell me she had no character traits or feelings. As for the Orsted thing, threatening Rudeus' family is the only thing that got him over his shut-in life style, after Eris took his mojo, he went back to being a shut-in, but with a region counting as his home, he didn't leave the North. Getting with Sylphie just made him more of a nester, not less. He only got back to training his magic, and developing his weapons, because of Orsted. Without Orsted, we probably wouldn't have even gotten Oldeus' timeline.

That all said, I wonder if that pendant is still cursed, and if it is, would it still have an effect on her...?

@CountryMage at this point its a given that any criticism of MT will be met with giant leaps of logic to pretend the isssues arent there, ill just leave the argument now at where it is and you let you pretend its some sort of good series.

Hm. I guess they couldn't just leave the heroine as a chubby girl, could they? heh.

You know... I just had the weirdest idea... What about an isekai where the mc uses their itembox as a means to successfully shoplift? As long as it is in a world where other people can't detect item boxes, it would be the perfect way to get away with it.

gotta agree with @countrymage and meridis

They seem to be only focused on Rudeus as the sole hero. In the story he is of course the main character and thus the hero. However, Orsted and his clan have been at war with Shinigami for [insert number of years] generations throughout multiple reincarnations. The author opened up the Mushoku Tensei universe with that piece of information. Rudeus and the otherworlders are the outliers that changed everything for Orsted. It makes sense that the narrative focused more on the relationship between Rudeus and Orsted. However, the wives were supporting pillars that shaped Rudeus's character development, and they still had substance after marriage. The wives continued to make their contributions until the end in their unique way. There was depth to their development. One key thing was that they allowed the author to illustrate the contrast of different timelines. Lastly, there's a lot of content that the author could run with based on the growth of his descendants and their interactions with Orsted.

The writer of this isekai fucked up on, at least, one key element...
Weight loss...Does not mean "fat loss", it also means "muscle loss". If the system's hero-limit is 58 KG, then they have a really pathetic system on their hands, that cannot handle people of average, or superior physical condition. Their best bet would be to summon a buff midget.

Nearly all WN aren't written by professional authors, and most of those that has been completed are only the first or second work writen by a fledgling author.
Of course they aren't masterworks, have a strong self-insert basis, and are based on pretty common templates, but it's already hard for a seasoned author to maintain interrest and quality in long running novel series.

Mushoku tensei surely dropped in novelty and lost its rythm after a while but it didn't dropped the ball as hard and as quickly as.. let's see... Arifureta would be a good exemple of an amature author loosing most that made his novel impactfull and original and went to the easy otherworld easy-mode harem route because he hadn't the skill to maintain the tension and atmosphere he put in the first volume. It didn't go Doctor Willy then Gurren Lagann like shield bro either ? .
And if you talk about token harem characters, Mushoku Tensei did it way better than most of the other WN with a harem as the romance was quite well exposed, and the wifes still were relevant to the events, had a life of their own along the later part of the novel and weren't just waifu #1 to #3 and participed in a lot of important decision making moments with critical advice. It's only that the rythm and dynamic of their narrative went to a way different road (a slower everyday life one) after they got children... They just took a step back from their dangerous adventuring life to take care of the kid (and the MC did the same trying to stabilise his life for his family too). That's not a thing you see in most stories, as a lot of them goes with one of those 3 style "our adventures has just began", "the forever virgin lucky pervert MC and its merry harem" or "and they all fucked or kissed at the rooftop of the school, the end". It's rare to read a novel were there is stuff about building a family, taking care of the kids and so...

That and the fact a lot of reader weren't able to accept that the MC became the right hand man of a more important character of the world (and the story continued like this until the end), a person working under someone else instead of the usual N°one almighty and peerless cookie cuter hero that you see everywhere.

@Solipsist I was thinking exactly this. I'm a skinny ass motherfucker in real life who can throw a punch about as strong as a wet noodle, but I'm quite tall and weigh 68kg. By this system's logic I'm too fucking heavy to be summoned to another world. Now imagine what a man in his physical prime and at his physical peak weighs. Usually around 80-100kg depending on the sheer amount of muscle they have stacked on them. They would be considered too fucking fat to summon.

I have to laugh at the comments here, there is a thing called Body Mass Index and on the very first chapter it says he is over 100kg, now BMI says that in order for him to be 100kg and not overweight he would have to be ... 2m tall (6.6 for you Feet and Inches users), does he looks to be over 2m tall?

He is obese, its not even what the author says its what BMI says because he would have to be over 1.8/5.11 to not be obese and just be overweighed.

A lot better than the rating suggests. Would've been more interesting if the heroine remained fat for a while longer though.

Actually a pretty good piece of work. It should be rated a little higher.

I thought I recognized that art style. I didn't know Ikuya Daikokudou was drawing another serialized manga (even if its just contracted as artist). Good to see she's getting more non-H work.

I'm not seeing why this has such a low rating. Is it the initially fat FMC? It's gotta be.

@Exile Body mass index is a bullshit gauge anyways. Unless it's been changed in recent years, it doesn't take muscle mass into account, since muscle weighs more than fat does.

There is no way he's 126kg. That's over 275lbs, which for the average Japanese height would be land whale status. The author doesn't understand proper weights for people Because 58kg even would be barely 130lbs. You might be that skinny as a sedentary guy in Japan, but not anyone fit enough to be a hero. Although I suppose it did say ideal weight, that doesn't mean that is actually the weight he has to reach for summoning to work. Also that may be the ideal based on being sedentary, so working out and becoming more athletic the value would probably change.

I'm disappointed how Shella's progress is asspulled. I was really hoping they would both work on it together. Kinda lame.

PS: Grinding out 65k XP +3 at a time in a few nights? ?

This is a good Isekai with a motivated alpha MC. All the interesting non-generic isekai are usually rated 6-7 on mangadex. This story has a fun plot and the pacing is good so far with actual character development.
