Imagine if he made a hot spring resort city somewhere in that vast area that people would never want to leave from.

He could designate monster spawn points so monsters don't randomly spawn everywhere (if that's a thing) making the people want to spend more time without feeling like they're at risk.

Maybe even implement a form of the never starve dungeon, one that rises in quality and maybe produces different effects instead of just staving off hunger.

Him ignoring the monster creation aspect is kinda weird for a dungeon fic. Really, I think it's dumb to not want to make interesting creatures, like couldn't he make monsters that are beneficial to his hot spring dungeon?

He's supposed to be human but he's doing the same thing as most other dungeons that focus on one effective thing and keep churning those out.

Actually I wonder if that gem dungeon was committed to trial and error. Watching what kind of gem an delver gets happy about and reproducing those, experimenting on other things and learning. With enough experience even these clueless dungeons could find out that gems with a nice geometry is good.

Meanwhile, MC's dungeon was too inexperienced and focused on the killing aspect of the dungeon for instant points instead of what brings in more delvers, so she probably didn't think to improve the food quality.
The author covered that and ,ade a good job in answering everything.
I'll put the answers in a spoiler.

Is a lot of stuff up to the latest WN chapter so reading is at your risk:
A dungeon city can't be developed, the dungeon have a set rule to absorb anything that doesn't move for a certain period of time, equipment and lving beings are usually moving so they always reste the counter, adevnturers can set tents but leaving them for around half a day or so would make them absorbed, same if they leave some equipment on the ground and return too late.
This rule is aboslute and there is no way to go around it.
The humans come up with a method to make a semi station to help with long term explortion and stays...pseudo-campers.
MC didn't want monsters to spawn, but they do that automatically, is another rule, if i got it right he can set the type and spawn points, but if he doesn't do it they will appear automatically and I'm not sure if he can edit the monster respawns and types after they appeared, he can control them but it costs a lot of points and is complicated.
Dungeon cores are not humans, they dont' know humans and don't understand them, this chapter shows how they don't have a need for hunger, sleep or sex, they simply want to get bigger, the never starve dungeon was made from main core observing humans, absorbing their food reserves and then setting the food to spawn, that means she never checked the food taste or it was even edible (expired or rotting), she never even thought of tryign the food and even if she had done so it takes multiple attempt sto finally awaken a dormant sense for a core.
Dungeon cores can't communicate with humans, speech is simply impossible, to MC too, they deepen their understanding from checking the logs of everything that happens in them.
The cores not being able to get humans is why they do trial and errors and miss several times.
The gem dungeon summoned a human too, a jewel expert, that is why it knows what to do on that field.
Other dungoens heard of MC onsen dungeon and tried to make something similar, but simply had dungeons with fllors that had water pools, because they don't don't have any knowledge of human ills and the restoring ability of water, that the miasma can boost but it can't boost zero.

I feel like "food monsters" would be appropriate, as well as edible plants, or even "merchants".
The former is to establish an ecosystem, where you both get food and "beautification effects" (maybe even healing, a-la elixers),
The latter is to establish a mid-floor resting spot, that can turn into a full frontier town.

I.E: People move into the dungeon, which means even MORE people in the dungeon at once -> persistent passive income -> it encourages people to explore even deeper floors -> profit.
I mean, it's quite literally free realestate. :u
That idea is getting explored in the future of the series.
Unfortunately, the 'concept' of monsters related to- or dropping food, or even planting food, are monopolized by other dungeons and are as such forbidden for most dungeons.
Series will delve into those details later.
Cloth will not appear naturally or drop from monsters, or appear on mosters due to the Cloth dungeon monopolizing those concepts.
Same with the Gems-, Weapons-, and precious Metals dungeon.
The universe birthing dungeons also has Intellectual Property- and Patent laws built into it.

Sooooooo, they lifted men ban, so there was policy for no men after all, but men are still only seen moving the water? Is no man trying to bathe in the water? We don't see any male adventureres as well.
What is this anti male beauty propaganda? I guarantee you men would also love to be smooth, and have nice skin. It's treated like beauty is only for women, it seems strange.
Like, at least make one male character to be an off shoot if you want to establish that men are fine being ugly. So it doesn't bother people that we aparently ignoring that.

I find that very hard to perceive as...Fun to read?
Beaurocracy? Built into the setting?
..Yaayyyy...??
I guess I'll have to see how it works out.
