Are people so incapable of nuanced thinking these days that slavery is just immediately associated with sex or abuse?
The series itself does not show this nuance. Do you not remember the children getting snatched off the street by slavers or the girl that got magically mind-controlled into slavery and almost died?? Or the one slaver attempting to grab a random woman to make her one for no reason? Is there supposed to be a gray area here?

Hey, just stepping in to play the devil's advocate, just because he's going to the slave trading company doesn't mean he's going to enslave Hikari. He's still looking for Sera and Eris (Rurika and Chris's missing friends), it wouldn't be the first time he's gone to a slave trading company to try and find them, even after splitting up from Rurika and Chris.

"You don't like slavery huh. Well, let me introduce you something special. An exception to all your troubles. THE SPECIAL..........slave."

It's almost as if it's the people abusing the system and not the system itself that is the problem.

I don't think Sora is eligible for any official form adopting to begin with. Right now he's a stranger with no identification on him.
So having a little girl denied entering the city, pushing her outside into the wilds is fine, or having her be a slave to some stranger is fine too... but having her be adopted is completely immoral?!

That makes zero sense.

Slavery was actually a fact of life throughout the entire world until less than a few hundred years ago. Adoption in this case wouldn't work since Sora isn't even married, nor is he even of age anyway.
Were magical words and isekai stories with litrpg world systems also a thing a few hundred years ago?

Welcome to isekai bureaucracy. It's fucked up but hey, real world bureaucracy is also fucked up in some way so it's fine right? Right?

Though I'd say that it could at least have been named something else like "Indentured Laborer" or such without changing how the system works. From reader point of view, "Special Slave" name feels off.

I honestly don't kown what is the worst : the slave trope again (I think the MC will find another way) or the lame writing leading to the slavery at the only solution. A magic tool to check blood relation... Seriously ? The guard says to the MC that he can't let her into the city without papers, explain the miraculous slave solution and... let her into the city without any papers just because the MC said "Ok, I will reduce to slavery this little girl". So no need of the slavery...

Not gonna lie this made me laugh. Sure, the issue with owning people like property is the people who decide to use that to abuse them with no recourse for the victim.
And again, the series does not ever say that “slavery is good, it’s just a few bad apples!!” It says, “here is an example of slavery hurting the one enslaved, here are the people perpetuating it acting immorally.” But no, its suddenly a great way to get past some bs paperwork issue. Cool 👍

Chattel slavery is the specific form of slavery where slaves are treated as property of the slave owners. In the vast majority of the world, this form of slavery is very rare and even looked down upon. Perhaps you should learn more about the history of slavery where more than one form of slavery actually exists.

Here, educate yourself:

people talk about slavery and there are too many manga with slavery, yeah of course there are its a MEDIEVAL FANTASY you know based on the MEDIEVAL TIMES, when slavery was common in most countries.

stop complaining about slavery, yeah slavery is a bad thing, but so is murder, and guess what? that happens in even more manga then slavery does, why don't you start complaining about murder being common in stories instead? oh yeah of course you wont since its dumb to do so, so is complaining about slavery in a fantasy story that is based on the medieval times.
