Star Wars used to be for everyone (although the speeches by Palpatine are almost verbatim taken from George W. Bush after 9/11), yet the left absolutely had to take it and make it their own, actively alienating fans of the franchise (a diss track by the main lead has to be some kind of new low though) and now they cry because the viewership was abysmal.

You can't just use "toxic" as a magic word to make yourself right and discredit everything your opponent says. And I don't know what being an incel would have to do with anything. Most of these people are used to seeing old cliche racist and sexist media that conform to their limited worldview, so when they start seeing something so different, they can't accept it. The main reason you hear people moan about it is by content creators because it generates traffic. The vast majority of people look at something, realise it's gonna be crap and then ignore it going forward.
Even the content creators are slowly backing off because the loud bitching and moaning about it isn't all that popular. Things just get ignored and subsequently become a failure, followed by all the media outlets questioning where the audience, which they've actively alienated, is.
Most people are simply sick of the constant pandering and propagandising of content created in the image of a minority amongst minorities.

When was the last time you saw a big screen piece of content where a major male characters weren't made to be either the villain, stupid, a walking joke or any combination thereof? When was the last time you saw a straight couple or happy family being portrayed?
When was the last time you had genuinely good stories, with subtle, yet impactful commentary on culture and politics?
It's been quite a while.
So no, the issue isn't the five unemployed coomers who never leave their basements and jack it 10+ times a day.
