his name is Hashira right? that means Pillar, i think you don't need to TL the name

DeepL/Machine translation strikes again.

In the first chapter this group accurately put his name as Hashira when he introduced himself to the goddess. Even if they did leave off his surname that time for some reason it's the same kanji and it had furigana...

So he lives within the forest of death. This author sure did shamelessly "borrow" many ideas from isekai nonbiri nouka. Kind of surprising considering the author's list of novels... guess they all run a little thin on ideas every now and then.

Yeah, it's pretty much the "can I copy your homework?" meme but in manga form. Looking at the author's works though, it seems he really likes the slow life isekai stuff, so Idk why he'd go the imitation instead of innovation route.

thanks for the update! hurray for potential elven waifu (tho i notice, with some villainess isekai/reincarnations there are some yuri stories but i dont think i've seen many bl focused isekai, maybe a korean version but i guess there's not as much overlap compared to the yuri fans and the self insert fanservice ones lol)

In the raw his name is "樹木 柱" which if put on google translate, it is "jumoku hashira" literally means tree pillar
maybe the author wanted a nature-y name? i'm sure there are some weird nicknames/chosen names that are also a pun out there, like how all of dbz charas are like food puns XD

(tho according to the story summary it's Ueki? unless he changed the kanji)

Narrating to herself.

Well, that's an appropriate reaction.

If he wanted to kill her, he'd have done it already, and using a weapon to threaten her in that situation doesn't make sense, since then it'd be better to tie her up or something.

So they even copied the name of the forest...

Name translation mistake aside, Rentt being something more than just a basic golem is neat. We already knew Rentt was the best, but this just makes him better. "Gaia Note" feels like another weird translation mistake, but whatever; Rentt is Rentt, best boy is best boy. The comparisons to Nonbiri Nouka are definitely very much visible, but I'm enjoying this far more. Dude doesn't need to populate a village with his seed to be a cool dude. "Tree Pillar" just wants to work on a farm, not build an entire small nation. The scale (so far) is significantly less nonsensical. Doesn't help that Nonbiri also drags on way too long and got stale as hell with all the half chapters of NOTHING HAPPENING, but still.

Can't wait to see how Eliza, Rentt, and "Tree Pillar" interact next time.

When someone apologizes you don't apologize in return. You either reject or accept it and move on.

It is Ueki Hashira, like the furigana in chapter one says.

The author probably thought it was smart but it's kinda cringy that all the kanji in his name has at least one tree(木) radical to enforce how he and his wooden powers are to the plot; 樹 is just another way of writing 木 and has one on the left, 木 means tree or wood, and 柱 also with a 木 on the left meaning physically or metaphorically a support or pillar, like a wooden beam or the demon slayer dudes.

So his name alone means he's the guardian of the forest of death.

Because his name is Ueki Hashira? - which literally mean Trees Pillar
so tl accidentally translated the names. I was thinking it was a very weird thing for a jp char to name himself.
