Chapter 12, pages 20 & 21 bring up how High Elves, Elves, Half-Elves, and Humans all run at different times.I wonder if there's going to be a point where he watches even the elves age and die, since he is a great elf himself (which I believe are longer lived).
I get the feeling from the story as it is that he's far more inclined to affect things on much smaller scales -- mostly individuals and communities. That's not to say he hasn't done larger involvements (like the Elf rescue and exodus), but there was an entire kingdom that collapsed that he didn't even know happened (and he hadn't even visited it the first time around).I wonder if now that he's by himself besides exploring he could help develop the world he lives in, even more, he could easily jumpstart an industrial revolution just by pitching the right ideas to the right people.

I thought of a frozen lake, but Salt Flat actually sounds better.
the way the chapter described it, I assumed it would be a view of the clouds from atop a mountainI just keep thinking of a giant salt flat, but maybe it could be a thermal vent that creates a giant hot spring with mineral (calcium \ limestone) loaded water.
Isn’t it also a figure of speech? Like soaring above the clouds as you ascend after death. Probably like when she dies she would like to see the sea of clouds, with Aesir by her side, a final companion to see her off, just like she did before with her close friendsthe way the chapter described it, I assumed it would be a view of the clouds from atop a mountain
To a High Elf like Aesir, that's simply thorough preparation...And then he spent 5 years becoming a swamp master.
