...Out of all the girls, I think Anju may actually have the best shot....
One of the main reasons Hiromi gave up on his ex-girlfriend was that she kept mooching off him while he did everything he could to please her. And now you want him to end up with Anju, who literally made a living by being “adopted” by sugar daddies and will most likely just mooch off the MC while he carries all the weight again? Honestly, if he ends up with Anju, it’ll only show that he hasn’t learned a single thing from his last relationship.

Honestly, this chapter was very interesting because we got to see a unique contrast between all four girls.

Lili spent most of this arc worried about losing Hiromi, afraid he might move on without her. So when she finally reconnects with him and says she wants to see the places he grew up, it fills her with joy just to spend time with him again.

Mio, on the other hand, has gone so long in this series hating men that she didn’t even realize she was in love with one. It takes her friends pointing it out, saying, “Hey, you’re here to see Hiromi,” for her to finally realize she does have feelings for him.

Tsubasa feels trapped within herself, often turning to alcohol just to relax. When it comes to love, she holds herself back, so at the end of this chapter it’s powerful to see her finally admit to Hiromi that she misses him and wants to be with him forever.

And then there’s Anju, who in my opinion stands out the most. Last chapter, her boldness helped the other girls relax. While they were making excuses about why they came to Wakayama, she directly admitted, “I’m here to see Hiromi,” which encouraged the others to do the same. But in this chapter we learn that her boldness is really just a shell hiding her insecurities. She sees that Lili and Nonoka are exactly Hiromi’s type, and she starts to see Lili as a threat. I didn’t notice this before, but now it’s clear. She admits to herself that Hiromi tends to go for girls like Lili and Nonoka, which makes her question if she’s good enough for him.

Out of all the girls, I think Anju may actually have the best shot. I know some of you might be thinking, “Why?” but hear me out. The times she’s made a move on Hiromi have mostly been physical, trying to sleep with him instead of expressing her real feelings. That’s not how Hiromi operates, at least from what we’ve seen. But if she were to openly confess that she has genuine feelings for him, it could push Hiromi to see her in a new light and explore who she is romantically.

That’s why this chapter really stands out to me. We have Lili, happy to reconnect with Hiromi. Mio, realizing she’s in love with him. Tsubasa, finally breaking free from her fears and declaring she wants to be with him forever. And Anju, who shows us her facade of confidence but also reveals her doubts, wondering if she’s truly good enough.

Even though all these girls are close, each one has her own unique struggles when it comes to love, and that contrast makes the story so compelling. Moving forward, I think it’ll be fascinating to see how each of them pursues Hiromi and what choices he makes. Yes, Lili might seem like the one he’s gravitating toward right now, but I still believe Anju is the dark horse in this series. Tsubasa is the wild card, and Mio, while she may not have a real chance, could still come to see Hiromi as her first love.
Thats why its hard to tell if Tsubasa or Anju will win

Yes, Chika used him, and the reason Hiromi broke up with her was because he found out she was using him. But you also have to acknowledge that Chika was a businesswoman with a high position in her job, not some bum who started off using men when Hiromi first met her. She gave the impression of someone like Lilly or Nonoka, good girls with positive personalities and careers. Sure, she wanted a guy to take care of her, but that was the basis of what she was doing with him.

However, that has no bearing on Anju. Yes, Anju comes from a negative background, but people change over time. The fact is she’s comparing herself to two girls she believes are Hiromi's type. That insecurity, that eagerness to feel like she’s not good enough, is what will push her to grow.

This happens in alot of stories. A character realizes how far they are from the person they want to become or the person they want to be with, and they decide to change. What we’re seeing now might be the start of Anju’s growth as a character.

Like I said, you don’t have to believe me, and you don’t have to agree. But in my opinion, Anju is the dark horse of this series.

Dang, that's a big bombshell to drop!

Also slight mistake page 3 last panel, Hiromi says "So do should"; that "do" shouldn't be there.

With each chapter, my belief that he should date the landlord is getting stronger
Please elaborate further.

When you say “the landlord”, you mean the old lady from the very first chapters who was also one of the very first to show some kindness to Hiromi when he was troubled and sad, is that correct?

Completely unrelated, but I had a dream about this manga where Hiromi bonded with the Venom symbiote and fought the Reverse-Flash. I woke up before I could remember anything else. Not sure what that says about me.
New venom and flash movie incoming?? :dogkek:

It would be funny if Anju was actually the winning heroine in the end, since, at least in my eyes, right now she's near the bottom of the waifu pile.
Funny and maybe also the most logical one, but that could also just be me who has a preference for girls who are not playing stupid games and know what they want and not and are straightforward about it.

that's right Anju, you've had been doing sugar daddy job for fun, you can't ask to fall in love, the guy would be compromising to much, except if he has nothing to compromise
Atleast her back didnt get blown out

Rip Tsubabasa. Second one to confess, second to get dumped :salute:
Unless it's one of those, "ah uh I didn't mean it like that" bait confessions :pepehmm:
Or well tbf, Lili didn't really get dumped, but I feel like the earlier the confession the more doomed the relationship...

Mio getting excited about the weirdest things was too funny for me

Chapter 50 is out in a non-english language. I used google translate and it’s not great for Tsubasa shippers sadly. In fact, it might have torpedoed it

We got the “different interpretation and brushing it aside approach”, but this prompted Tsubasa to spiral down and question her self-worth as a woman

Due to circumstances, she shares a room with a male subordinate who likes her and she ends up being swayed and kissing him with the implication that they are going to have sex

Now, it doesn’t mean it actually happened and can be shown in future chapters that they stopped and even if it did, she can still win since they are adults. But it’s not looking good.

Oooooo...

So Tsubasa had a coworker and he is gonna have sex w/ her taking advantage of her low self esteem, seems Hiromi said some passive-aggressive shit that made Lili have a painfully shocked expression, and Nonoka came back
