You people throwing fits about the sisters every chapter are more annoying than they are. They didn't even do anything wrong or offensive this chapter.
You cherry pick the one chapter they didn't do anything and but ignore that they've been annoying in literally every chapter they've been in. Also so what if ppl complain, its not like they're lying or exaggerating stfu

He didn't 'let' Celes take Aina. He refused to allow Suama being kidnapped, and couldn't think of a reasonable lie that could convince the demon looking for an egg. His being an idiot and refusal to allow Suama's kidnapping doesn't make him culpable/responsible for Aina's kidnapping.
I think it does. It was obvious the demon was being aggressive. He should have been thinking wors case scenarios from that point (even as he was being thrown into a wall). His lack of decision making caused Aina, a child, to make the decision for him by sacrificing herself so her "little sister" won't be taken. So yeah, his idiotic decision to not allow Suama to be taken did lead to Aina to be taken

That is an absurd take! Suama is a child that deserves protection just as much as Aina. The only person responsible is Celes; the demon who actually kidnapped the child.

Shiro can't "give" suama to Celes; that would be morally reprehensible. If the only way to save Aina was to give up Suama, then he'd be culpable for Suama's kidnapping. But he isn't culpable for Aina's kidnapping just because he wasn't smart enough to think of a lie to prevent Aina from handing herself over as a substitute.

Nah, I this is on Shiro. Aina is practically family at this point for him. He's saved her mother from death. She helps his shop everyday. She helped during the trade incident in the other town. All he had to do was shout, "this girl hatched from the egg!" before the demon left.

Think of it this way. A parent has the choice of saving their child they gave birth to over the child next door they have seen grow up. Is it reprehensible to save your own child as opposed to the neighbor child? Shiro is in a similar situation here. His brain fart in his inability to react when there was time to do so directly led to Aina being taken.

I do want to say you make a few good points. But I suppose we will have different takes on the matter. I do think we can agree on one thing. Shiro could have responded better to all of this. (Now time to read the next chapter)

just wtf where is the grand mother anyway oh w/e lets do some convoluted story instead of just having some magical item to contact her incase some bs happened....i don'teven remember where she went
I don't think it is ever mentioned where she went. She's just conveniently absent to create a crisis for plot progression.

Yeah, I agree with you. Shiro could have responded better. The author has basically made it so that all of Ninoritch (plus Shiro) has a single communal brain cell; everyone else is playing pass-the-idiot-ball to advance the plot.
