Seems like the data leak is already long over by that point?Sounds like he broke up with her because that data leak was going to ruin his career, and that was the only way she would avoid the fallout.
Needs Tragedy tag.

That's what I was saying, men are expected to provide for their families so when they are in a situation where they don't need to because their partner earns more it hits them right in the gut and they will feel inadequate.I don't think the reactors to your comment understood. I don't think @thatmanthatthat is saying that the woman "cannot" or "should not" make more than the man, it's just an observation that it tends to work out that way. I've heard several stories of husbands being super supportive of their ambitious wives, either doing a less-lucrative job they enjoy, or being househusbands. But I've also heard several stories about marriages becoming unstable because the husband got weird about income. Us men are generally taught that we need to be the bread-winner of the house so, when the wife becomes the bigger bread-winner, it makes the guys that gauge their sense of self-worth on that feel like they've lost their place in the house. It's not a good thing, just a sad reality. Yeah, it sucks but society (or whatever).
Life's a bitch.but what the purpose of this do we learn anything ?
You’re so evil bro. It’s like rubbing salt into my wound. If it’s sweet I’m ok but this dark on valentineYes, I purposefully uploaded this on Valentine Day for a reason.
I think the author wants to highlight and show how toxic work culture in Japan is in this way. Japanese work culture is very bad and a lot people suffer but they have to go on whether they like it or not. Like, stuff like this always happen.Toxically masculine work culture strikes again ✊😔
Shakespeare could say "hey, these finals are too depressed" if he could read modern Japanese romantic dramas. This scares me more than any conventional horror.
There is no time to think, accuse men of all the problems of relations between the sexes.I think the author wants to highlight and show how toxic work culture in Japan is in this way. Too insecure. Men make it about that. He'll I've made this mistake and gone down this line of thinking. He stopped talking to her though so she felt like she couldn't even say anything to stop his dumbasswhy would he do that. she doesn't think less of him even if he made less money, or had less prestigious job. i get breaking up if your significant other only values you from your money or job. she doesn't do that, doesn't even ask much.
I really enjoyed it as well. Very refreshing to see a real relationship and not just an idealized versionI actually enjoyed this.
On the surface the disparity in their incomes and lack of communication seems like the primary factors leading to their relationship breakdown. But Hana's competence was like a mirror to Tarou's incompetence. He couldn't actually stand being around her anymore as it was a constant reminder of this. Not saying it's easy but dropping societal expectations and ego will make a lot more people happier than ascribing to cultural brainwashing. It seems like this is a particular problem for men in general.
It's quite interesting seeing this oneshot being paired with a tune. Speaking as a composer, I would probably have a lot more work if I'm less picky and was able to bring myself to write bullshit tunes about fictional characters. That just always felt so meaningless to me. And this leads me full circle back to whether we should suck it up and ascribe to societal expectations, or follow our hearts?
