Japan Academy Awards Announces Five Anime Films for Animation of the Year

On January 15th The Japan Academy Film Prize Association announced the nominees for the upcoming Japan Academy Prize that would be held in Tokyo on March 6th. All the nominees receive "Awards for Excellence" (which I think is a nice consolation award for the films). You can see what films were nominated here: link While I have only seen one of the five films listed, I have this feeling they all deserved the nomination.
