I love how this phrase looks out of context when you look at it from the point of view of Internet slang.

But getting back to the topic, it just amazes me that Pekora not only has a backstory worthy of the characters of Oshi no Ko or AoT, but also that it is mostly played seriously, and not for the sake of dark or sadistic humor. It's as if the author additionally wanted to remind himself and the readers that assholes still hurt others even when they are funny weirdos like Jashin.
