Yeah, I thought Shinohara is basically the female lead to the shoujo-esque side to story. That Izumi likes her was an unfortunate side-effect and it will "guaranteed will" lead to his heartbreak. But this makes more interested in Nao. This chapter out but confirms , that theres another girl interested in Izumi.

So we got a shounen rom com and shoujo rom com in one premise , cant wait to see where this goes

You know what @UltimateAdrian20 , him being heartbroken, then falling to the hyper energetic Nao and getting together would be a development I'd like to see. It could evolve into a really good story, with Shinohara being put aside as a side character after the heartbreak (possible after she starts going out with that other guy) and Izumi loner type being contrasted by the Nao energetic demeanor.

I hope this made sense.

@Guralub It could, there's possibility in this story, but the author clearly doesn't goes for that way, also it got axed, so the end gonna be a heartbroken Izumi.

Yeah, with this being axed, I feel pretty bad. This could've gone into a really nice direction and I'm already imagining all the good feels I could've felt with Izumi and Nao relationship.
I hope the author has another chance.

More like it got cancelled than axed. Which is a difference. It didn't get dropped due to people hating it or a lack of popularity, it didn't get transferred to the new magazine because there wasn't enough space and they were counting on stronger sales series/longer running ones/large start ones or whatnot. After all, even though it's not getting moved over it's the only one of the couple that weren't to get a final chapter to allow the author to tie it all up.

That said, the friend is very perceptive about what's happening as she knows Shinohara just does whatever she wants without thinking about the consequences for others. And not in a bad way, but moreso in a careless way because she probably doesn't understand why he would ever be shy in the first place since she's not shy. It's not selfish it's more like...self-concerned or self-absorbed. She can't really think like other people.

Ogura meanwhile tho is a trash-bag.

@OniBarubary Then again, who knows. If this series has a fanbase and the author still has interest in the series. He could reboot the series into a web series or a fan doujinshi post online with pixiv or nicoseiga. Ive seen author who despite getting axed off, continue the series in their free time as a side thing to please the fans.

@Guralub .Glad you understood, also what would make it better was if Izumi would have somewhat of a similar treatment to Nao , and Shinotara has on him, somewhat of an oblivious neglect. and when his heart broken , he realises that he had Nao on his side all along. It delves into a single minded focus most MC's have in love stories and how he can move past it
