Doesn't matter. A little kid decided her memory had to be erased and nobody saw anything wrong with obeying that sort of order from an 8 year old. It's not even like she was some peasant being treated like less than dirt, she was a full on noble and orders to midrape her are allowed despite her theoretically protected status.

Edit: That's not to say that the act is only horrifying because there's a child involved, but kids are notorious for not having good judgement. There's a reason that child rulers have regents to cover for them until they're of age. He's a kid, he'd have her memory wiped for getting caught stealing a goddamn cookie.

The character models are confusing me lol.
So to get it right in my head;
Two brothers working with her are brown haired.
Her ex-fiancé is a prince with black hair.
Her ex-best friend is Liam who is blonde
Her ex-potential fiancé is the guy who almost drowned, he use to be blonde as a child but dyed his hair so she wouldn’t recognise him but now has blonde hair again? (Why even raise the point of changing hair colour).

Now for one more layer of confusion, he had her mind wiped to keep her safe from political espionage........... but she wound up engaged to his brother? Nice job?

Also the one that dumped her is being painted as a jerk, but wasn’t he also a victim of the mind altering effects?

How did this derail so fast wtf. I’m glad they released the 3 chs back to back because I don’t think a lot of people would’ve liked having to end on a cliffhanger and then wait until the next chapter to end in another cliffhanger twice.

They were so happy, and honestly I was rooting for Will before, but he fumbled the bag so fucking hard. He came out of a curse fighting only to see Elaine again just to erase her memories, like how. Now she’s had to go through a public humiliation, being shoved down by her former best friend and sure she may be happier now because she’s not a noble, but that doesn’t mean she couldn’t have been happy with you.

Edit: I just realized, the royal family and duke house really just let him annul the marriage and erase her memories, what? I get that if it was just William’s decision but both parties agreed to the engagement and then listened to the kid about erasing her fucking memories. They then engaged her to the shit prince, WHAT IS GOING ONNNN?
