Both are given cheat like abilities but in different way
Saiga is what you call the usual MC for Isekai genre, get OP cheat skill and immediately build a harem (With more possibly to come). Usually they just suddenly get good with 0 effort which pretty much sums up most of Isekai MC and honestly boring (I want more of this typical MC getting rekt!! pls recommend me other like this)

Sansui on the other hand, was also given an ability. But instead of becoming OP straight away, he was required to train himself (500 years!!) which I think is really important as it shows that he has the patience and resolve to do so slowly. You can bet most MC will reject all form of deal if it requires you to train first instead of just straight away getting a cheat skill (Sansui rejected at first but eventually goes with the training)

@Mutsutakashi He reminds of Renya from the novel Divine Armanents. He had the conviction and determination to try and kill the strongest god
(albiet he won't die since the god set it up like that)

I dunno, this might be the first time I've seen a reincarnated cheat hero having an ability to temporarily turn in to a furry for some presumable stat boost. I mean, I think there's that one werewolf one, but presumably this cheat hero is still human race. Looks pretty dorky.

Anyone else reminded of that Arthur fist meme?

I don't remember Sansui getting any cheat ability. Unless you consider an introduction letter to be train by the strongest until you become the strongest being an 'ability'.

Sansui sage arts is just chinese Xianxia, training to become an immortal/god.

Yea my bad, He wanted to be the strongest (Implying he wanted the most Cheat like skill he can get) but instead he get a letter which trains him to become a powerful swordsman instead for 500 years. Pretty much the four abilities he have are result of his training instead of given abilities by that accidental killing god.

@Vasqueztion Problem being he has given up everything earthly to be able to use sage arts. I simply camt immagine him caring for it unless it affects his mission and duty as parent and guard. As it stands now, mc is breaking the mold of isekais and imo has no real goal in mind. The rival character, even though a bit cheesy, is more in line with what we have had from the isekai trope.

So ita really a clash of tropes and it will be interesting to see how the rival handles it.
