Lmaoing at the retards in this comment section right now
The manga EXPLAINED the reason sansui follows the blonde ojou's orders, hell there were like 4 pages dedicated to that explanation (she takes care of rain, educates and feeds her i.e giving her a better life than he could if he tried going solo) yet the only thing that registered in your mind was "if it weren't for that rich bitch, sansui could go edgelord on everyone".

the point is not that he NEVER KILLED ANYONE but that he doesn't kill unless needs to. Also considering anime, that dude is probably still alive.
The point is that he does not *want* to kill anyone, but will if ordered to.

re:rain
yeah he's happy, but it's more of a 'how nice it's a baby, life is precious' happy than screaming with joy. Like i said, it's not that he doesn't feel emotions, it's that he's in control of himself.

@nobaka that picture was later used as the example, in the manga, as him being able to kill. https://mangadex.org/chapter/661066/15

The comment made in response to you saying that
It's clear that he doesn't WANT to kill anyone. The proof is that he's essentially never killed anyone until now, he almost exclusively incapacitates or disarms his opponents.

Other than with the bandits before, he hasn't really had a reason to kill, and by many peoples logic here he didn't need to then either, i disagree but that's a different matter. I don't think it's that he doesn't want to kill anyone, he just has no reason to feel anything toward the bandits other than indifference.

@SunSun you clearly aren't reading the comments since the person he's responding to isn't complaining about the story at all.

I love his way of thinking when they tried to surrender. At the end of the day it all comes down to what you value more and protecting those you care for outweighs showing mercy.

@Banarok If Suiboku wanted his student tou not think for himself and leave the child to someone else I think he'd just send princess in orphanage and kept the guy swinging sword.

Hmm, wasn't expecting this direction with the manga. I think the atmosphere starts to change from stupid comical to a darker tone when the isekai wizard massacred the invading Empire's army and shown to be mentally impacted by it... I guess the author will go deeper into the meaning of Sansui's current training phase and his road to become "the strongest". But I still can't take this shit seriously.

@deerafl More like spoiling the neighbor kid, because her family runs the school your granddaughter attends, or like the local PTA said that parents need to deliver the heads of their enemies....

@kwendy but he does think for himself, he follow orders and this society is highly feudal showing Raine any other behaviour would probably be more wrong since Nobility here can kill whomever they dislike.

he does very little actual Tutoring, but he's always present, That's better then can be said with many parents, he's always making sure she gets a good education, get good food and get treated well,

@Esperantos
Why isn't he interested in finding another household to treat him and his daughter better, he has the power and talent to be wanted.
Imagine you're playing Minecraft, or something, there no reason for you to up and leave the house you already built, if it already has all the functions you need. If you're not really invested in the long term success of this play through, you're just running out a clock, why would it matter that there are better, more profitable options?

loved it... love the chapter

People are complaining why Sansui let himself just get ordered by Dewey like that. It was pretty much just akin to knight pledging loyalty or a samurai hired by a daimyou. A pretty fair deal of exchange if I look at it tbh. Rain gets taken care of with good upbringing albeit surrounded "crazy" people though still raising her in a good environment, Sansui then acts as the household knight/servant. It is pretty much normal... dunno why people kept complaining about it.

2nd, the story is bound to go this way anyway... though did not expect it to go this route pretty fast after volume 2 in the novel. Well, there were more stories that went faster but for a title like this one, hehehehe.

3rd, I checked out JNC's official publication for this series. Gawd lawd my eyeballs just pop-out whenever I read the names albeit it does kinda do make sense too.
Dewey = Douve
Brauer = Blois
Rain = Lain (<-- me don't accept this one tbh)
Sopeid = Sepeada

As usual, Dewey has her brand of obnoxiousness on full display; which I'm pretty sure is never going to change -- so I don't see why it's a topic every release. To beat a dead horse further, we already know Sansui doesn't consider her to be a "good master", but the family is generous and it's a perfect place for Rain to grow.
Seeing Sansui running around chopping heads has been fun, though. Although, I personally don't suscribe to the idea that he has no emotions whatsoever. He's just a mature 516-year-old adult who has his shit in check at all times. Sure, certain emotions may be numbed significantly due to age and his training, but I sincerely doubt they're gone entirely. He's reached a level of mastery over himself where he has total control over his emotions, so that they can never control him.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to whatever's coming next, but I'm still hoping that "president" guy gets his face beat in.

@CountryMage yep... Sepeada/Sopeid is based on Spade. I'm just way too bewildered by the choice the staff at JNC picked.

@Happily_Grim Sansui isn't... he knows what he should feel on every event that he's on however he kinda does feel like going "yep... that's how should I feel but I'm not really feeling it" almost every time.

rather than lacking sympathy or empathy (forgive me for not knowing the right word for context), he's more grown to be much more indifferent towards everything... I guess that's sagehood for ya?

@Banarok Yea, he is present. That's basically everything. Again: not sure if has any meaning in context of old sage task. Unless he just wanted his pupil out of his hair.

@xSauriaNx lot of people have trouble remembering which to use, I just explained this to someone that used empathy when they meant sympathy recently. Sympathy is when you have kind thoughts towards someone, or a situation, empathy is when your emotions are moved in regards to a person or situation. So empathy is the one you feel, and sympathy is the one you think about.
