Just make the manga a series of silly dumb contests with fan service
That's the manga I am currently reading, and I don't see how that
no actual or hinted-at progression in their relationships, or this constant introduction of new characters that muddy those relationships and spark jealousy of some hypothetical future status that is never actually going to transpire.
makes it any different.

* cough *

Did you guys know there it's H series that MC being put in similar situations and got grape by 6 girl ...

And mistake first girl as his idol since both have similar voice ( interestingly sumika in same situation )

He always gets blindfolded during seg until they go to resort and he finally look at 6 of them ...

And last bonus he got blindfolded again and the idol girl having seg with him for real ( as payment for 1st girl pretending to be her )

My point is that the author is including those things, but that they don't seem to serve any purpose insofar as the events that transpire in the "story" chapters like this one have any bearing on progressing a plot forward where any of the Trio, or any of the ancillary heroines, make meaningful or lasting progress in achieving a deeper/enhanced relationship with the MC.

If the Trio want to date the MC, then everything they've done to date has hindered their chances. Which is why I said that the central gimmick of the manga would seem better served in only focusing on the contest/punishment game aspects of the premise, as those at least allow easy and easily justifiable use of the Fan Service angle of the triple & side heroine characters.

If the point is that they never end up dating the MC because of this, and the manga will forever continue in that vein with no plans on the part of the author for any sort of payoff in that regard, then that's fine, I guess, but it begs the question of teasing a narrative payoff for events transpiring within the story that are never meant to bear fruit for the characters.

The only caveat to that, is I guess, is it gives the author an easy back-pocket "eject" button to immediately pick a winner and put them with the MC should the manga ever be cancelled down the line, and in the meantime this endless holding pattern of "plot moves forward >> resets to previous status" each chapter can just repeat ad nauseam.

But it just feels to me like the author wants an overarching narrative for who gets to take Kotaro home with them, but refuses to advance any of that narrative in a meaningful way without constantly resetting things.

Though if it's to continue making money by selling as long-running a series as possible, then I guess I can respect that much, at least.

Thanks for the chapter.
You know the quote "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."? By that standard the 3 bullies are well and truly out of their minds.
"Hey lets continue to ask the guy we love into unreasonable contests, im sure eventually thatll make him realize we are in love with him".
I cant even blame kotoro for being dense as romance protagonists usually are cause hes only misinterpreted obvious signs a few times and all of them were quite reasonable cause no sane person would act like they do towards the target of thier affection. I thought sumika was better but i guess shes fallen in with the rest now.

thank you for translating
I just love that this series is more comedy than romance so it can just wave off misunderstandings in one chapter rather that stretch it into ten.

NO !! DON’T DRAG SWEET SUMIKA DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL !!! :qq:
Sumika was the one who suggested it. So technically she's dragging them down to her level.

It is always the quiet ones who are the most dangerous.

problems i wish to have but i dont

thanks for chapter
Some die of thirst while other drown as the rising waters call them Baka.

3 bullies are well and truly out of their minds.
You are only realizing this just now?

Sumika joining the bullies is probably the best thing for her chances. Not only she's been ackowledged as a proper love rival, but she'll be included in a potential harem ending.
