Later on in the story, it is indirectly theorized by Ai and even Eiji himself that he and Miyuki never really loved each other romantically in that way. If you read the Light Novel/Web Novel, you see that Eiji is actually a pretty proactive guy when it comes to Ai before and after they start dating. You get a sense that the romantic bond between Eiji and Miyuki was never really there unlike with Eiji and Ai.

Miyuki is an extremely flawed person who got swept up in kondo’s charm and her desire for a father figure when her dad left. she honestly is the only one out of the perpetrators that understands the gravity of her decisions throughout the saga and is ultimately tortured the most mentally over it.

I get uncomfortable with the way some commenters talk about Miyuki in these threads. I have the benefit of seeing how the story plays out for Miyuki and I have some sympathy for her in the end. She fucked up, the author punishes her severely for it. It’s a very tough thing to read when you get to see how much she regrets letting Eiji go and hurting him like that.

"Some sympathy" is about right. But she is still one the perpetrators. When faced with the choice of 1) saving her own reputation; 2) not sullying Eiji's reputation; she continually choses to save her own face.

1) When she started having happy fun time with Kondo she could/should have broken up with Eiji. She didn't
2) After being caught, she actively participates in the false claim that Eiji attacked her.
3) She continues that pretense after that, knowing the accusation that she has throw at him has wrecked his reputation and his life.

Miyuki is a life lesson about girls getting involved with bad boys.

You know what, I had some sympathy for Miyuki, had.

She's a naive young woman and Kondo is superficially attractive, so her falling for him and betraying Eiji is understandable (understandable, not justified).
And even the following bullying, maybe she doesn't fully grasp the extent of it.
Still a massive blunder, but I could see things mending over time.

But after all that, after she realizes all that she lost and all of the suffering caused, she still decides to stay as the perpetrator's plaything?
WTF, he's the reason you're in this mess in the first place.
You know what, they deserve each other and everything coming their way.

Not to protect her, but I think she is kind of mentally KO at this point.
Right now she probably blames and hates herself more than anything for her bad decisions, which could be one of the reasons why she can’t blame Kondo for anything. This, coupled with her desperate need of affection in her current mentally vulnerable state is the reason why she keeps going back to him. We could even say that Kondo pretty much trapped her into this situation… well, more or less. He did a similar script with his previous girlfriend if I remember correctly.

Honestly, I’m kind of worried for her. I can easily imagine her also walking up to the rooftop once she gets inevitably dumped by Kondo, and her framing Eiji, her own childhood friend, becomes public knowledge. I wonder how her family will even react to it, let alone the whole school.

I've been trying to avoid spoilers but there's a bit of a gross undercurrent in some of the glee folks have specifically for Miyuki suffering.

She's NOT innocent in any way as she willingly got on the Kondo ride to begin with but in this very chapter we have him talking about how he carefully and thoroughly mindfucked her to be his dependent little toy. He's displayed pretty much every red flag for an abusive boyfriend I can think of. There's entire libraries of books written on how hard it can be to break free of your abuser.

Does she deserve consequences? Yes.
Does she deserve help? Also yes.

even after getting caught, and .... well unknowingly exposing himself as the bully. finally arrested. he presumably believes his mom and dad would still bail him out. despite his lawyer laughing at this level delusion of grandeur. that his mom doesn't even want him. his dad has lost all of his powers and money. even miyuki testify against him. he still belives he would rise to the top. despite going to juvenile detention. any prestige he had, are effectively gone when he leaves detention.

Tbh this manga is becoming a 2/10 real quick. We started off with a great revenge story and we got basically everything hand-fed to the MC by every character possible. The guy that was supposed to be the villain became a worthless retard in barely 11 chapters.

This story is wish fulfilment about the perfect comeuppance to the bad guys in this particular situation... So far this is just the tip of the iceberg... hell even Japan prime minister is involved in this.

Who is even saying that? People that read the novel already knows what's coming to her, the point was her repeated mistakes that could be avoided if she wasn't so hellbent into her cheating fantasy with Kondo.

Even the next antagonist noticed how easily Miyuki went to Kondo without any real regret when Eiji pretty much rejected said antagonist and remained faithful to Miyuki, even Ai noticed her bullshit behavior later and rightfully gave Miyuki a reality check.
