Today is a good day, this panel alone made it that better. :meguu:
The extra work done for Ai on pages 13, 16, and 18 really stand out in such a good way.

WHERE IS FOOTBALL BOY KARMA FALL??
WHERE IS IT??!!
Wait wait wait, this feels out of order with the light novel.
It's actually not. It's precisely following the order of chapters in the light novel. And from a chronological standpoint, it makes sense as well. Kondo and Miyuki have already decided to skip school the next day, implying they'd rather fool around in bed and relax the following morning. The scene between Eiji and Ai is likely happening before Kondo and Miyuki are even awake again, so the scene transition makes sense. There are a few sequences in the LN where they do the whole "Meanwhile, earlier this morning..." bit to cut to what some other characters were doing at the same time as another plot development. Too much of that kind of storytelling gets on my nerves, though, unless it's part of the story genre (e.g., time travel as a plot point, whodunnit and crime mysteries that cut back to explain how the grand scheme was enacted or discovered, etc.)

Anyway, for everyone chomping at the bit for the next part of the cheaters' comeuppance, you'll have to wait even longer, because that "Earlier this morning..." bit I was just talking about? That's going to happen here. If the manga continues to follow the LN exactly as written, then next we're going to see the meeting between Eiji's mom, Takayanagi-sensei, and the principal. After that, it'll be the entire rest of Eiji and Ai's day together, from leaving school, walking home, meeting with the man Eiji's mom talked to on the phone in a recent chapter, planning for a proper date the next day, and having dinner at Kitchen Aono. Only after all that does the story cut back to earlier that day, when Kondo and Miyuki finally decide to leave the love hotel, and all hell breaks loose when they're immediately approached by a police officer...

So, probably 1-2 chapters of adult conversation about the bullying issue and happy dating fluff before we get back to the cheaters, where we should have a good couple of chapters about the start of their downfall.

After 12 ch I can say, this is kinda mid. This is basically a bullying story where the victim gets support... and that's it. Unique? Yes (thing that I find funny). But the characters and the story are kinda shallow and the incident so over the top that makes it kinda hard to get an emotion other than "hell yeah" when the bad guys get punished.

Can someone spoil about that Tachibana girl, and her comeuppance? I need to know.
A lot will happen to her, but long story short:
  • Exposed as the mastermind
  • Arrested for all the shit she did
  • Expelled from school with all the bullies
  • Will be trialed as an adult
  • Her lawyer gives up on her and even "taunts" her how MC won an award for his novel
  • She still didn't learn anything from all of this, and refuses to accept her life is over

Her trial will probably be over soon in the WN, it's the only thing left that is tied to the bullying case.

On our side we know our dude is innocent, but someone teaching you how to use Word is not a good litmus test for whether their an asshole. Awful people often have charming personalities

Knowing Japan, I think she'll serve at least 3-5 years at most, unless she killed someone, she's probably not serving jail time for long, though, her life is still over, no job, no school, she'll be homeless
