see!!! bertia had her reasons!!! but man, so many things were mischaracterized in the game lmao and in reality in game cecil probably gave that mark to the heroine for sort of the same reason our cecil gave it to tia. basically they're both never letting go lol (tho i believe our cecil truly loves tia, and that progression took years to happen-- or at least it took years for him to notice??? i don't think in game cecil had enough time for that to happen tbh. bc like the game's heroine basically only had those three years to do it, and also idk how much that light spirit was involved in getting his interest... but he has zeno so he should have been okay, unless he willingly gave himself into the spirit's influence, in an effort to feel something... omg DAMN THAT'S DARK AND SAD??? idk tho what do i know lmao)
