@Chusep ikr? They complain about how shitty the manga is yet continue to read each and every chapter. If you don't like it then don't fucking read it. But when they do read it just shows that they are actually invested.

The beginning was good, but this chapters idea and dialogue seems like it was made by a kid. When i was 6, i thought about this kind of story, which is cringey as fuck.

So like, his barrier magic is something that manipulates anything as long as it is inside the barrier... That's pretty OP

So you're telling me that he can suddenly eliminate others with out hesitation and be so arrogant about it? I sure hope there is more character development later on.

He's not a sociopath.
Did you seriously reply to a four year old comment with that nothingburger statement?

I didn't even call him a sociopath, just that he had sociopathic tendencies. Which is objectively correct as he was just killing people without regard for their own life.

And if you consider the definition for sociopathy is "A mental health disorder characterized by disregard for other people." This falls under that pretty nicely.

In short, shut the fuck up.

And instantly the ostensibly normal Japanese man can without hesitation slip into cold remorseless killings. These writers realize there's a middle ground between an all forgiving doormat and a complete sociopath right?
Maybe he was never normal. We don’t know much about him

No you should shut the fuck up. Why do you even need to regard the lives of bandits who endanger your family in the first place? Most isekai mcs either hesitate or don’t.

And besides he continues to help people throughout the series anyway.

I look at it this way. They were invaded by a foreign power masquerading as bandits. That's an act of war, which makes this a military action. As the only member of the margrave's household present, he was effectively commander of the local forces (just Frey in this instance).

While he had the attack power to take out the enemy, he was still outnumbered hundreds to one. He couldn't take them as prisoners of war. So he killed them. Any professional commander would have done the same.

The fake bandits were soldiers and spies. They knew the risks. Sucks for them, sure, but the risk of being killed in the line of duty is just part of being a soldier.
