First, his magic was granted by a goddess in person.
Second, he was already titled as a god a few chapters back (Chapter 63, page 8-9), when he enabled Iris' level up. So you're late to the party.
More seriously, his power level is so much higher than humans (self-titled "humanity's strongest" is around 40, though some known characters have a higher potential) that he was basically born as a demigod.
