Huh, it almost seems like the antagonist could kill Jodio and the gang at any moment, but is keeping them alive so that Jodio can lead them to a new lava rock.
The mysterious glowing rod stick figure, it seems to follow and surveil them from the sky... this is probably what Meryl Mei figured out and the reason why she urged the gang to get underground as soon as possible. Like a stand version of a surveillance satellite or something.

Meryl Mei continues to be fascinating, I feel like conversations with her are one of the things that really sell that this crew are all still so young. She's the closest thing they have to a guiding light outside of when Jodio's feeling more talkative lol

terrifying stand at the end too, Mundra was already injured so maybe it's relatively slow once it transforms? Otherwise I don't even know how you'd begin to handle a stand like that lol

also really funny that Kyoka is here without seemingly any notable changes, guess the perks of working with Rohan include becoming a fixed point across time
