Ohhhh. What will this mean? Maybe Opera will show up for the gossip like that first time? We'll have to wait and see what'll happen
Thank you for the translation :hearts:

Aww, it's nice to see how others go through the realization.

In my case it was three days and nights of everything that I thought I knew about myself crumbling, agonizing about what this means and oh my god what am I going to do and is this really how it's going to be or am I just faking it or is there a different thing that can explain this but also how did I never notice it all my life oh my god if only someone told me earlier it's too late it's not too late how could this be real how is this even possible why is this even a thing why me ahhhh

A "crash course" in realization, if you will.

Are you talking 🥚?
Because
Rina is the only woman, here.
This is just outstanding gayness.
There’s the fact that Lemon is just ambivalent about gender, but that’s just… confusing? He still IDs male. I’m fine with being confused.

Life is confusing. Gender is a whole THING and varies based on culture. Like “onee” people in Japan. Some are trans women, some are gay men, some are non-binary… by Western standards.
I don’t and probably won’t understand, and that’s fine. That’s their business, not mine. My kid is non-binary. I’m not, so I don’t fully understand, despite being trans, because I’m just a woman. One end of the spectrum, not between. Know what I did when they came out? Said “ok” and started doing my best to gender them correctly when speaking. It’s about respect.

also:
They never really addressed Rina being attracted to a guy for real for the first time, either. It’s played for laughs. Not the best BF… I’ve had too much coffee.

$3000 on candles
Where are you buying them?!
I tell people I know who camp to buy boxes of Shabbos candles for cabins and to keep in the trunks of their cars, because it’s cheap af.

Hand-crafted, organic beeswax artisanal havdalla candles?

dril tweet joke

Also yeah I recall the author being noncommittal (I got spoilered by someone prior to you) but I may as well go along for the ride. Like even if it's just Cocoa ending up a gay man who likes crossdressing, at least it's good art.

I like the whole thing. The ending is quick, but there’s not really any other way to do it, the way it’s structured.
The story works better in Japanese. The way language is gendered or not, the way pronouns function…
I‘m trying to imagine how awkward a translation of a similar story from English into Japanese would be.
How do you convey misgendering when using a second-person pronoun would sound awkward? The fact that first-person isn’t gendered in English…

Translation is hard.

Which is why I have no patience for weirdos who gripe about "localizers"
