I can confirm it. My hair was almost white-blonde until I was about 7, then it gradually started getting darker and more brownish until eventually there wasn't a single trace of blonde left. It has to do with melanin production changing as you grow, so yeah, it's actually a pretty normal thing.

Was going to say the same. I had blonde hair until I was I think 5 and has been brown since and my beard and mustache is a mix of mostly brown and some red.
