I thought big creatures would need to breathe more often but it turns out that's not right.
You: 12-20 breaths per minute
Dolphin (bigger than you): 5 breaths per minute (more when active)
Orca (much bigger than you): 1.2 to 1.8 breaths per minute (more when active)
Elephant: 5 to 6 breaths per minute (more when active)
Couldn't find numbers for the really big whales

Big creatures are adapted to being big which means bigger lungs and more oxygen gain per liter of breath.
Evolution didn't have a chance to work on a mutated or transformed creature but we can handwave that.

My story sense is saying the twins will resolve the plot somehow but I don't know how that could be possible. Maybe tiring it out (effective strategy for the smaller ones) is a clue, but they have few skills, so I don't know what they could do.

ngl prefer the manga. The style is more appealing and the twins are way cuter in it. The light novel is too generic looking.

Tbh looking at the twins in their adventure get up in the manga they have curves they're just flatter. But also a lot cuter. Since I'm cute > mature I think it's obvious I'd prefer the manga.

ngl, the mc's design has improved significantly. Assuming the characterizations are accurate, I quite like the current designs well.

Best way to beat turtling is patience. Eventually they'll have to do something, maybe even leave for dinner or bathroom and you win by default. Might not be applicable here, though, but who knows. Turtle might be a basement dweller.

I find the LN version of the twins easier to humanize. In the manga, they give off an uncanny or even alien vibe - which I guess is kinda appropriate given that they are a hivemind.
The MC on the LN cover looks super generic, and doesn't sell the idea that he's been a badass adventurer for 10+ years.

MC is depicted as a lonely though guy, yet the novel artist makes him look like a beta harem protag getting led around by 2 dead mom hair twins.
