I cant help but think that the story and the comedy would be a lot better and more fun if MC were to stop being full retard. Author could at least make him just smart enouth to understand that things are realy happening, because as of now he is the most retarded character i ever saw.
The dude is supposed to be extremely smart but is not capable of understanding that his minion are actualy doing things and fighting for real, after he kill dozen of their member... Fighting in such organisation is supposed to be his "dream".
Well, it's a great way to make the story last longer.

That would make it way worse for me. I find the manga/manhwa where the MC is both insanely powerful AND smart very boring. At that point it's just a power fantasy for the reader where the MC can do no wrong and the comments section should be avoided at all costs.

There is a good chance that the current world is actually Future Earth after Cid was kissed by Truck-kun, and Aurora was the original being that "crashed" on Earth in the past and introduced magic to it.

Sort of like Lavos in Chrono Trigger.

The Cult's research had already confirmed the existence Multi-World/Universe.
So, there is less chance of Timeline shenanigans like the one you mentioned.

Plus, Timeline shenanigans are too much of an headache to properly manage and can easily break the story if not handled correctly.
Multi-World/Universe concept is much easier to handle.

I find it funny on a meta sense that both Zeta and Delta both want Cid to rule the world, but while Zeta's approach is to turn Cid into an immortal God, Delta's approach is shag Cid up with as much women as possible to rule the world with a literal army of his children.

Cid had been physically training since his Past life, and all that knowledge helped him physically developed faster in the Other World.

As for Magic training, as Cid had mental consciousness since he was born, he probably started his Magic training since his infancy as soon as he learned about it's existence (which is probably much faster than what normally is done).

Plus the fact that he is a descendant of the Human Hero (similar to Olivier, who is the Elf Hero), he also carries Diablos bloodline (proven by the fact that Claire, his sister was affected by Possession once).
Even-though the bloodline primarily affects the Female descendants more, but it probably does provide some benefits to the Male descendants as well (no confirmation on it yet though).

I don't think Cid gained any benefit from being Diablos bloodline since only women get demon possession

That's what i thought initially as well, but some people in the fandom said that it's apparently mentioned somewhere that Cid did suffer from Possession when he was young, but he cured himself already.
Not sure if it's the truth or something Web Novel exclusive stuff.

In early novel (web novel at least) chapters it was said that possession is basically "magic deviation" which in an off-comment Cid confirmed to have had but fixed it. Interesting enough is that all who had that and got healed grew much more powerfull. Which is caused from having Aurora'a/Diablo's blood in your bloodline.

So he gained things from it it seems. Paired with his insane training mentality and the levels he reached in his previous life already in terms of skill is basically all the reasons for him beeing op.

BTW did we see Fenrir somewhere already ... it feels familiar, but it can also be just same face syndrom. Also when Alpha learns what happens there without her knowing ... Zeta will get punished. (I at least hope Nina and co are still absolute loyal to Cid still ..... and I still get the feeling that the Scar should have told us moch more.)

I think author intended to do exactly the opposite. IMO, Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute was made to make fun out of isekai tropes and readers. I still remember how people were pissed at Ainz from Overlord, for not bein able to comprehend inhuman intelligence of his subordinates and managing though pure luck only. Or how Rumuru from Reincarnated as Slime just have a voice in his head to explain things to him. And here, author made MC really stupid and lucky (if it's not his actual ability as mentioned by other people) and people still go "dun, wish he isn't retarded". Everything falls apart if he stop being stupid. It;s like Forrest Gump, but isekai.
