This will show the actual story we haven't been told, that's a new story, unless you know exactly the circunstancies it happened. Flashbacks are useful story telling if done correctly, hating all of them just don't make sense, like it's not an actual story lol

i'm fine with prequels. we might see how Rokuhira Senior managed to tame the Datenseki. we might also see the seven sword bearers in their prime! and if this is really gonna show the actual Seitei War, it should be full of "hype moment and aura" that the kids love so much. this is gonna be good

It's not actual story. It can't change or add to the actual conflict happening. It's just useless world building.

I'm not who you talked to before (reading is hard, huh?), so you have no idea what I think. That aside, it seems that you don't understand how explaining past events can shed a completely new light on later plot, and that's kinda sad.

Champ, you're the one who said the point I made was wrong, which is why I replied to you. And the point I made is that flashbacks can't change current events, and is pointless worldbuilding, so that means you have to think that would be wrong. Which means you'd have to thibk retelling of past events can change the current story, which isn't how temporality works. Which your not understanding explains how I could respond directly to a post you made in reply to me, but you think I'm talking to someone else about something different.

Anything a flashback would reveal could be revealed in the current moment. There's no need to interrupt the current story for a flashback arc. They serve absolutely no purpose besides giving authors padding time to write the next actual plot point.
