Say what you want about how their fight went but with how Cattleya was so absurdly powerful a deus ex machina was always the only way to truly defeat her, like, sure they were at a stalemate but realistically speaking in a battle of attrition Kagura would lose, period, there was literally no way to defeat someone like Cattleya

Now I'm reminded of Netflix Castlevania where Trevor, Sypha and Alucard didn't  really win against Dracula because even weakened he was just way way too powerful, Dracula simply gave up and let himself be killed

Cattleya is literally the same thing except she had a epiphany that went like "wait, maybe I was the retarded one all along" and gave up

To be fair didn't the manga made clear from the start that Cattleya was as she says defective? She never seemed like a normal sane human, she was always a crazy zealot

Cattleya is basically like Thanos, she thinks she's smarter than everyone else and knows better, her plan is absolute and the only right thing to do, it's the kind of villain that if done right can be compelling but if done poorly they just come out as retarded morons who can't realize their plan is fucking stupid

Although to be fair Cattleya being borderline batshit insane was kinda the point I guess so of course she can't help her tunnel vision blinding her to the stupidity of her plan and that there's better alternatives

It was a reality bending macguffin. Cattleya wanted to use to turn everyone into Youma. But I guess the ones who are already turned like the dragon widow will stay that way.
And Kagura already had Mimi's aramitama with herself as she used against the priest. Cattleya just conveniently could recreate herself two more times, so she decided to bring back those two.
Of course she could bring herself back, surrender, end youmification and atone for what she did and still bring back everyone who got turned into aramitama after recovering herself. But she would have to a responsible person and not the unstable lunatic that she even admits she is.

Yeah... how about we just put a lid on any potential asspulls? We've got one more chapter until this whole thing is wrapped up.

we got that explanation a few dozen chapters back when they explained how the deity soul worked. it was humans of the past that used the deity soul to create youmafication to begin with, i would imagine it can be used to undo that as well.
