idk where I saw this, but I really like the theory that the underlying premise here is "child sacrifices but scaled up". like the difference btwn slaughtering a pig for meat, and factory farming them in concentrated pens. I haven't seen spectres antagonize each other, so it kinda fits so far? maybe closer to a permanent hunting ground though. in either case, for a being at the top of the food chain, it's a very logical development

needs to go die in hell where it belongs, I understand it was a popular trope in horror two decades ago but it has no place in modern fiction, despicable.
