@chonkury This isn't about a cat, though. This is a human girl that doesn't want to be treated as a pet to begin with, so that latter half of my comment is probably the most relevant to her. She should be expecting reactions in the ballpark of "Hey, what are you doing? Get off of me" or "Ah, are we this close now?"
But as for that cat thing, that's pretty much the "play fighting" sort of stuff they do with each other a lot of the time. If they really wanted to hurt you, they'd probably do a lot worse. They're just well equipped to mess you up, so even that playful stuff can draw blood, it's not like you're built the way they are. Less resistant to their lowest damage settings as it were. You really do not want to be attacked by a cat that's actually out for blood.
For this case in the chapter, even though the girl is basically attacking him for real, they're built so differently that she's probably barely doing anything to him, he can pretty much play that off as the cat play fighting level of stuff. It's also a manga, so a lot of violence can be written off as slapstick comedy even if taken to an absurd point.
