I love this slow drama-free progression. The two of them have really great chemistry, and they're both timid and adorable. If I'm honest... yeah, anyone hoping for rapid progression after this needs to temper their expectations.

This occurs about 2/3 of the way through Chapter 6 (of 7) of Volume 1 of the light novel. They don't officially become a couple until Chapter 9 (of 10) of Volume 3. So there's a lot of "fake relationship" shenanigans that occurs alongside other developments. This is definitely a slow burn romance. Even if... they quickly go from dating to engaged within a month in the WN, and yes, they're still in high school.
