I love this one a lot but man does it take a lot of time. 80k bookmarks at less than 25 chapters is no joke though. It would definitely have crossed 100k by now if it updated more frequently.

Great story-telling, solid art, memorable characterization. Man I really do wish this one updated a lot more. I’m glad the chapters are very chunky but this entire last chapter was just the process of forging a single blade, and it’s not even done yet. Looking forward to seeing the plot progress.

Thanks as always for the translation and the collage of faces at the end!

My main complaints with this story are: the mc looks lame AF, it's overall mostly slow paced and kind boring, and, this is a major one for me, ALL THE WOMEN HAVE PUNY CHEESSSTTSS!! There are quite a few character that have appeared as far as I've read and I don't think any of them go over a B or a C cup! Just a personal gripe, as a lover of big oppai.

What's up with authors just romance-baiting audiences when they don't intend to ever follow through, since it seems that the LN has no development whatsoever in that direction after 11 volumes. The protagonist must be asexual or have ED to want to keep his harem platonic even though the women are clearly shown to have romantic feelings.

the tiger actually in chapter 1 seemed to be a D or E cup, and then obviously the artist decided they wanted to save lead on drawing...

I've read the LN, and now that I know how old she is (5 y.o.), the less sexualized she is, the better.

Its typical with all the manga unfortunately, they have an unhealthy obsession with underage girls, which is extremely creepy.
Would actually like to see more where the people are actually 18+

So, correct me if I am wrong but we have Smithing & Harem here. But:
1. Smithing -> author doesn't know anything about smithing
2. Harem -> there is a harem in the story but nothing happens and MC is acting like he's oblivious for 180+ wn chapters

Everybody already talked about smithing so I want to discuss the harem part.
I don't care for romance that much, but it irks me heavily when you create a story based around that. Why do they do it? Is it publishers? Make it make sense. Author is the god of his own story, if you don't want to put romance, just don't put a harem of beautiful women around the MC that talk about how in love and how horny for MC they are every 15 pages. Its that simple. You genuinely can have a relationship with a woman that is not centered around sex, you'd think they want ones like that in these stories BUT THEY AREN'T MAKING THEM. THEY MAKE THIS SHIT INSTEAD.

This trend is too prevalent, I cannot asses the cause, reason or even how real a trend this is in Japan (since we're reading translated material) but I really dislike it. Publishers push for girls because girls sell. I understand. The idea of being passive is also looked upon favourably in their cultural zeitgeist as a gentlemanly, civilized behaviour (being forward is rapey). I get it ok. There's also an element of readers (paying one's) expectation, one could argue that extremely shy passive man are included for better self insert for people that pay for this stuff in the home country. Alright. Maybe that's the main motivator for stories like this? But then again, I cannot understand how a socially failed 45 year old male reading this shit could find comfort in stories where his heroes are also left unfulfilled, just like him. Schadenfreude?
Cannot wrap my head around the reason this is so prevalent. Especially since a number of stories in the genre break out of this pattern and they are widely successful when you look at the published sales numbers. I know there is some shit about censorship, both in relation to their law and the publishing house rules, also I know that stories get categorized differently based on how explicit their content is, but still. It feels like a psyop almost.

Its Spiritual NTR.
