So 30 chapters in with no foreshadowing about this so far, we learn Tomoaki has a backstory for why he considers romance taboo? Like, until now he was simply dense, but slowly starting to figure out how he feels about Ibuki, however now we get this claptrap? This happening right after introducing two love rivals makes it very obvious that the series was artificially extended.

Shame, really. You could have a short impactful series, or you can indulge in clichés to artificially lengthen it into a meandering mediocre work. Guess everything that gets at least mildly popular is doomed to suffer the latter fate.
