Okay, so I’m surprisingly fine with this instance of slave-purchasing. So long as it doesn’t go the tropey way I expect it to where something happens in the dungeon and she gets revitalized to her youthful appearance and then becomes a love interest while still being under a slave contract.

That’s precisely where I expect it to go but if not it’d be a pleasant surprise to have this trope go the direction of “buy this slave so she can experience her final days doing something besides sitting in a prison cell.”
