How can you say that when she was the cheater
Okay, I’m a bit late, but I’ve finally caught up with all the chapters.
Big thanks to the English, Portuguese, and French translation teams! (And all the others too, but those are the three languages I read in.)
I also saw the spoiler about Yuu’s ex, and IDK why she keeps saying she didn’t cheat on him. I get why she’s saying that, but the very essence of cheating is doing something behind your partner’s back (obviously in terms of fidelity). So the moment she went on a date with another guy, whether she kissed him or went further, the act of cheating was already there.
As many have pointed out, there’s clearly a lack of communication between the MC and his ex (without which, there’d be no story), and even though it’s fiction, the way events unfold is really frustrating. The ex took, what, months to come back into Yuu’s life, with no apologies and no explanations? Like, she probably knows Yuu saw her outside his house, so don’t just show up saying, “I didn’t cheat on you…” What is he supposed to do with that information? Like, on campus, she’s walking around with Yuu, and some guy could be out there bragging about having gone on a date with a girl who was in a relationship.
Meanwhile, Yuu has two relationships I’d consider healthy—with Ayaka and Mayu—but he keeps putting himself in the friend zone. Weeks go by without him replying to his ex, yet he still wants an explanation. Like dude, either move on or go see her.
(Ofc, I know all of this is written and paced this way to “develop” the story and make it longer.)
