Unless people deleted their comments after the author vented on X, it seems to me that the author was one-guyed. There are 1 or 2 more harsh comments, but they were made after April 22nd.

Deserved hate if there was actually one, I feel like the author just rush the school arc for no reason, there is still so much shit to uncover about takeru and his relationship with the two women while no one really give a shit if the FMC started doing AV, are we changing the tag from drama to slice of life AV manga?

Probably happens IRL for people ending up in AV. People with lack of support are probably more likely to make desperate decisions. Considering how the author works with AV stories, I am guessing they are writing from experience.

Here are Kaori's career choices from chapter 69:

It seems that the teacher gave up and didn't call her mother. Note the emphasis on idol given by the author. There is a whole setup for Kaori to become an idol throughout the story, such as Kodan Productions always being present in the story (they are in chapters 23, 24, 51, 59 and 67) and since they are not the Yoshioka's agency, they only exist in history because of Kaori.

For some reason, the author decided that Kaori has to get involved with AV even though she wants to be an Idol. So it seems to me that what will happen is:

• Kaori will get involved with AV;
• After a while she will give up AV and become an idol through Kodan Productions;
• Someone will find out about her involvement with AV and her idol career will end.

I think you nailed it! When her mom said you could get married to a doctor made me think how she will use Takeru as a fall back later on. But what is it like in Japan if a Doctor got married to an AV professional? Is it taboo? I think Takeru won't do it. He might end up going after Yoshioka. Yoshioka will get what she wants (taking other people's love interest; maybe she was coping when she said that?).

Not going to lie, Chief, it was a dumb plan.

Like when she retconned away the long hair girl having lost her virginity to some randos in a karaoke room.

It was pretty obvious that was a lie from the beginning, because for it to be true would be absolutely mind-numbingly bad writing.

That's not to say that the decision to have a plot point where a girl lies that she lost her virginity to some randoms on the street just to get into the pants of a guy she has a romantic love interest in on the thinnest connection of reasoning after the guy panics before sex only to have the truth revealed during actual sex with said guy is a good plot point. It's a pretty awful one and does nothing for the story other than show how desperate the girl is to get into his pants, but we already knew that from the fact she's trying to get the dude to cheat on her best friend.

This manga is written by the hand of a deranged, diseased Satan. I dislike it very much and the only thing that kept me around was the weak ero, which seems to be truly gone now. Good luck to those who wish to finish this dumpsterfire.
