I do not understand people. They wish for more character development and not an instant pick girl up scenario. They wish for an instant pick-up girl scenario because they want to self insert. They get mad at MC for being 'dense' when they're sitting home without being loved by anyone. They whine about dropping this yet they come back the next time. What's the point? It's nice, it's slow development but it's not the same as a MC sitting in the same city doing the same shit they did in the last 30 chaps, just over again. And not much difference in terms of content other than a plot of "Oh! I got this Ball now, I can go onto the next city and do it all over again! I Also got a cute girl!"

I was one of the haters last chapter but this one was alright.

He had the composure to flip his hand around and squeeze Chorizo's weird sausage fingers instead of spazzing out like he always does.

Also, he was able to crack Chorizo's acting routine for a moment so, all in all, he did good.

You guys should realize that the MC doesn't just rent them for the sake of renting them. Plus this simp culture is also playing a part in this hate. MC is not as worse as the guys who donate 100K to a random streamer just to get a shout out. this MC is a chad to be able to rent a girlfriend AND unknowingly make em fall in love despite how pathetic he acts towards them. You guys dont realize he has his moments. But obviously you ignore that because you just dont agree with the idea of "renting girlfriends". Not every kind of romance is pure for you. This is also a japanese kind of thing. maybe the culture shock is too much for you. There as such things as Hostess clubs which is kind of similar to this.

Anyways after that rant looking at this chapter:
Mizuhara seems to be enjoying herself at least. So kazuya's plan isn't that bad.
