I think you're probably mixing something else from the story up with this a bit. These people are essentially actors, their private life is kind of irrelevant to the process since they're pretty much playing a character when they're on the clock.

Why not show why Ruka is annoying, instead of just telling us Mangaka? Why not show the dates instead of saying they have them.
