Just binged this series up until now. Super good! The Author is doing a fantastic job exploring the psychology of the FML and how it's causing her to spiral despite the various "off ramps" that she could be taking in order to restore communication with the MML.

The moment where he goes to touch her and then hesitates because he's not sure if she'd want him to, only for her to misinterpret the move as him not wanting to touch her anymore, is a particularly nice moment at showing how dramatically people can misinterpret things when they're in a negative and insecure headspace. By the end of the conversation, Kaho's journey from 'still trying to reach out' to 'trying to defend against him' is very well-realised.

Having her go to the trouble of baking a cake, meeting his friends, and being cancelled on twice were all nice ways to really build-up and illustrate just how much psychological stress she was dealing with by the time Miura arrived on-scene.

A lot of manga relies on zero 'real' drama (bad guys who actually aren't bad, character drama that happens entirely earnestly or is solved via an inspirational speech), so it's good to see some good-old fashioned psychology-focused drama instead. The supporting characters having rough edges instead of just being generic 'supportive friends' that each fill their own archetype helps a lot as well.
