★ On the way home from school, Masaomi and Yuki talk about Niizuma, the 3rd-ranked girl at school who has been absent for a few months because of personal reasons. She is set to return next week, and they are curious about her because she is one of the first-year student council members.
★ After splitting up with Yuki, Masaomi nearly gets hit by a bicycle. The rider turns out to be Sakurai, his childhood friend from elementary school. He is shocked to see her in Tokyo, since she was supposed to move to Osaka with her mother after her mom remarried. But her stepfather’s job was transferred to Tokyo, so she moved too. Even more shocking, Sakurai is actually Niizuma, the girl they were just talking about.
★ Back home, Yuki keeps thinking about Masaomi. He always seems to understand her troubles, almost like an esper. Thanks to him, she managed to run the school festival smoothly and even beat her brother’s old record. But she feels like she only succeeded because of Masaomi, not because of her own ability. So she thinks about putting some distance between them, even though deep down she is scared Masaomi might end up with another girl.
★ The next day, Yuki arrives last at the student council room. The moment she sees Niizuma standing very close to Masaomi, her worst fear comes true. Since Niizuma is Masaomi’s childhood friend, Yuki immediately starts looking at Masaomi with a cold, jealous stare.
▼ Future flashback, before the time leap
★ After marrying Yuki and spending their first night together, Yuki becomes very clingy. Every morning before work, she hugs Masaomi, and that soft skinship makes it hard for him to focus. Masaomi honestly asks her to tone it down before work, though he says she can do it later. Yuki awkwardly agrees, then kisses him instead. That breaks Masaomi’s self-control completely, and he ends up pushing her away. Worried that he might be late for work, Masaomi calls his office and moves the meeting to the afternoon.
★ Using his future memories, Masaomi realizes that Yuki’s jealous stare means she is already bothered by Kaede. So he talks to Kaede privately, without Yuki knowing. He asks Kaede not to get too close to him, since it makes Yuki jealous. He also asks whether Kaede has feelings for him. Kaede says no, she only sees him as an older brother because he was always kind to her back in elementary school.
★ Flashback: when Kaede was small in elementary school, the other girls avoided her because of her tiny body. Masaomi saw her alone and invited her into his group. From then on, she always played with the boys around Masaomi.
★ After hearing about Masaomi and Yuki’s relationship, Kaede says she will help them get closer, though she keeps the details of her plan secret. The next day, she goes to Masaomi’s class and openly challenges Yuki, saying she has liked Masaomi for a long time too and will not give up on him.
★ Yuki is shocked and speechless, but inside she feels pushed into a corner. Still, her competitive side kicks in. She invites Masaomi out, saying she wants his opinion on buying a new laptop. On their day off, they go to Akihabara together. Yuki asks about Masaomi’s laptop, but his model is so old that it is no longer sold. She feels a little disappointed, like she wanted to own the same thing as him. In the end, she buys a pink laptop instead, based on Masaomi’s advice.
★ The next day in the student council room, Yuki proudly shows off the new laptop she bought with Masaomi, even though she is still using the school-issued one to work. Kaede gets curious and asks about it. Yuki proudly says she bought it together with Masaomi, and Kaede gets jealous and starts fake crying because she was not invited. Yuki panics and says Kaede can join next time. Kaede instantly stops crying, since it was all an act anyway. She then asks when they can all hang out again, but Masaomi says midterms are coming up. So Kaede changes her request and asks Masaomi and Yuki to help her study, since she has fallen behind. She wants to study at Masaomi’s house. Yuki hesitates at first, but agrees because she does not want Kaede and Masaomi alone together.
★ On the study day, Yuki even puts on makeup and dresses up nicely for the first time before going to Masaomi’s house. Her father asks why she looks so excited, and she tells him it is just a study session. He almost stops her because it is at a boy’s house, but she convinces him by saying she is not going alone, Niizuma, the 3rd-ranked girl, is going too. Before leaving, Yuki asks her father that if she becomes student council president, she wants permission to eventually lead Alice Core. At first, her father refuses because he still has old-fashioned ideas and only wants her to marry a man who will run the company. But because she is so determined, he says he will consider it if she really becomes student council president.

★ The drama starts when the student council brings back the consultation box system that had been canceled by the previous president. Yuki is assigned to handle student consultations. One student, Shijou from the photography club, comes to her and says that another club member, Tsunada, has not been coming to school lately because he was heartbroken after being rejected by Yuki. Shijou does not want Yuki to accept Tsunada’s confession, he only wants her to reject him gently, maybe by saying she already has a boyfriend or something similar. Yuki agrees to help because she feels guilty that Tsunada stopped coming to school.
★ Yuki, Masaomi, Shijou, and Yoshie go to Tsunada’s place. It is an old building that looks like a former club. Tsunada is living there because his aunt used to run a shop there and rent is expensive. Masaomi senses something strange about Shijou and the place they are heading to, and tries to stop Yuki from going inside, but she refuses. Inside, they find Tsunada surrounded by drunk college students. It was a trap. Tsunada, Shijou, and Yoshie are all victims too. The college students forced them to bring in rich-looking new students so they could extort money from them. They threaten Masaomi and Yuki, saying that if they do not pay every month, they will spread edited photos of Masaomi and Yuki smoking. The photos are obviously fake if you look closely, but they are still enough to damage their reputation, especially Yuki’s, since she is running for student council president.
★ They cannot go to the police. After leaving the place, they discuss what to do next. Surprisingly, Yuki says they should talk about it tomorrow instead. Masaomi feels this is strange, since Yuki usually wants to solve problems right away. He follows her after they separate, and sure enough, Yuki is planning to handle it alone by going back to the college students’ location. Masaomi stops her. Yuki thinks her plan will work because she prepared a recorder to capture their threats, but she is terrible at acting, so the role does not suit her at all. Masaomi asks her to leave it to him instead, and promises he will solve it quickly.
★ After preparing everything, Masaomi returns to the college students a week later. Outside the building, Yuki, Tsunada, Shijou, and Yoshie are told to wait. Yuki is curious about the bag Masaomi brought, but he only says it contains the things he needs to deal with the problem.
★ With Shijou as a witness, Masaomi and Shijou go into the room where the students are hanging out. Masaomi says he has prepared the money they asked for. When they ask how long they plan to keep extorting them, Masaomi says, until he graduates from high school. Then he throws down the bag and shows them a huge amount of cash, 10 million yen. He says he does not want to waste time, so he is paying all three years’ worth at once. The students are stunned. Masaomi tells them the money came from his father’s safe, money that cannot be deposited in a bank, basically dirty money. They realize how dangerous he seems and start panicking, thinking they are dealing with the yakuza. Then Masaomi gets a call from someone who sounds like they are scolding him, asking why he took the money and saying they are on their way. The students still think they can run away, but Masaomi casually says their real names one by one and tells them he also knows their college names and home addresses. They become even more terrified and beg for forgiveness, but there is nothing they can do. Smiling, Masaomi tells them there is only one place that can save them now, the police. They all run away in a panic.
★ Shijou asks whether the money Masaomi brought was real. Masaomi says it was fake, but in his heart, it was real money from his stock trading. He had asked his father to withdraw it from the bank account Masaomi was using for the trading profits. His father did not even hesitate after hearing the money was for saving the woman Masaomi loves. He also asked Kaede to help with acting practice so he could look like a yakuza kid, and asked Sugeta to play the role of the yakuza boss scolding Masaomi.
★ After that, the college students are arrested by the police, and it turns out they were not only extorting students from their own school.
★ Yuki had secretly placed a recorder in the bag Masaomi used for the money because she was worried about his safety. The recorder was too far away for her to hear everything, but just before Masaomi left the room, she clearly hears him say that he really loves Yuki and will confess to her again.
★ After hearing that, Yuki gets shy and starts avoiding Masaomi. But Masaomi knows from future experience that when he chases after her, she is standing in the usual place where she always gets confessed to by other boys and rejects them. This time, though, Masaomi does not confess yet. He tells Yuki that when he confesses next time, it will be only when she is ready to accept it, once the problem with her father is settled.
★ On the other hand, when Kaede asks why Masaomi likes Yuki, he cannot say the truth, that Yuki is his future wife. While thinking about how to answer, he remembers the first time he saw Yuki at the hotel, on the day her father sold her to him. Seeing her sad face, he could not leave her like that, he wanted to make her happy. So he answers Kaede that he just could not leave Yuki alone.
That answer is the same one he once gave when helping Kaede back when she was isolated in elementary school. Kaede’s heart starts pounding at that answer, and for the first time in her life, she feels what first love is like.
